Mid 2003, Pete said that progress on the car seemed to be dragging along and because of yearly updates for the class, it wasn't cost effective to prolong the build anymore. So, he invited me to finish the car for 2003 Euro Finals, and if it was done on time, I could drive it! Never one to forgo a challenge, needless to say, all stops were pulled out!
The car was finished a few days before the event and we completed our licensing runs allowing us to compete at the European Finals at Santa Pod. For
the first time in recent European drag racing history,
10 cars attended - competing for an 8 car field. We were
over the moon to qualify 3rd in the early qualifying and
be in the show on race day!

Since driving the car, we have showed the class we are very competitive. We have qualified in every event we have entered. We have the accolade of racing the closest side by side race in European drag racing history. Also, we were the earliest 4 second pass of any season. We reached the final of a 10 car field at the 2005 Main Event, and we have never lost a race off the startline! I have experienced and enjoyed considerable media coverage, including interviews on T.V. and radio, both local and national. I have also featured in the national and international press. I have featured heavily in Duke Marketing videos and have had invitations from Channel 4 for the making of a reality T.V. workshop series.
